Dectrocel Raises ₹4 Cr From BioAngels, PadUp Ventures & Vinners to Scale AI-Powered Diagnostic Solutions

Health-tech startup Dectrocel has raised ₹4 crore in a funding round led by IAN Group-powered BioAngels, with participation from PadUp Ventures and Vinners. Key IAN investors in this round include Nitin Zamre, Samir Kalia, and Mitesh Shah.

The Lucknow-based company will use the proceeds to scale commercial operations across India, enhance its multimodal self-learning AI technology, expand internationally, and accelerate the launch of its upcoming AI tools for CT/MRI/PET-CT and HPB disease diagnostics.

Founded in 2020 by Ankit Shukla, Saumya Shukla, and Nikhil Mishra, Dectrocel is building AI-powered diagnostic solutions for respiratory and hepato-pancreatico-biliary (HPB) diseases. Its flagship product, DecXpert, is among the only three AI-based diagnostic tools approved by CDSCO for clinical use in India. The solution delivers 10x faster chest X-ray and CT interpretations with 98% accuracy, helping bridge India’s diagnostic gap where radiologist availability is as low as 1 per 125,000 people.

In tier-2 and tier-3 cities, diagnostic delays of 7–10 days and error rates of 25–40% are common. Dectrocel claims DecXpert reduces missed cases by 40.1%, validated by Nature Scientific, ensuring patients in smaller cities receive the same diagnostic quality as metro hospitals.

The company plans to deploy DecXpert across OEM networks, target India’s ₹1,000 crore digital X-ray market, expand into Southeast Asia, and diversify into new diagnostic modules, enhancing its AI capabilities for pathology detection and self-learning adaptability.
