Bestvantage Investments, a boutique investment advisory firm, has successfully facilitated a ₹25 crore ($3M) pre-seed funding round for Omspace Rocket and Exploration, India’s pioneering space-tech startup developing the country’s first Reusable Small Launch Vehicle (RSLV).
The round was led by the family office of Dubai-based investor Mr. Surya, underscoring growing global interest in India’s emerging space economy.
Founded in 2020, Omspace is building Infinity-I, a cutting-edge launch vehicle with a reusable first stage capable of relaunching within 24–48 hours — a first-of-its-kind capability in India. With projected costs of $3–4 million per rocket and expected annual per-launch revenues of $2 million by its fourth year, Infinity-I aims to make space access faster, more affordable, and globally competitive.
“Omspace exemplifies the kind of visionary entrepreneurship we aim to support. This partnership reflects our commitment to enabling groundbreaking innovations and ensuring they have the resources, strategy, and network to scale globally,” said Raman Sharma, Founder & CEO of Bestvantage Investments.
“This funding is not just about capital—it’s about belief in our vision to democratize space. With India currently at only 2% of the global small satellite launch market (valued at $55B), we are determined to help the country grow its share to 15% by 2035,” added Dr. Ravindra Raj, Founder & CEO of Omspace.
So far, Omspace has:
-
Completed two solid fuel rocket engine tests and ignitor testing for its liquid cryogenic engine.
-
Established operations in Ahmedabad (India) and Sharjah (UAE).
-
Signed 44 MoUs with institutions like MIT Pune, SRM Chennai, and VIT Bhopal worth $2.05M.
-
Trained 55,000+ students in space technology, with 20–25% securing jobs in the space industry.
The fresh funding will accelerate the next phase: a third solid fuel engine test, a sub-orbital rocket launch, advanced cryogenic engine testing, and initial reusability trials for Infinity-I.
Supported by IN-SPACe and ISRO’s startup ecosystem, Omspace has also been recognized by the AWS Space Accelerator (T-Hub), the Taiwan Government’s TAcc+ Program, and the Gujarat Government’s OCD Grant.
