Fintech platform BharatPe has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of Rajesh C as Head of Finance and Himanshu Nazkani as Head of Investments, as the company gears up for its next phase of growth.
Rajesh C will oversee finance, treasury, and taxation, bringing over two decades of experience in financial planning, accounting, and regulatory reporting. He has held leadership roles at SBI Card, ABN Amro-RBS, and GE Capital, and was part of the core team behind SBI Card’s IPO.
Himanshu Nazkani, in his new role, will drive investment and insurance strategy, building partnerships across mutual funds, digital gold, fixed deposits, and insurance. His career spans fintech, wealthtech, and venture capital, with prior roles at CarDekho Group, NYE Money, Kristal.ai, Elevar Equity, and Religare Global Asset Management.
The appointments come as BharatPe prepares for a pre-IPO funding round. Earlier, the company announced that it had turned profitable in FY25, reporting a profit before tax of Rs 6 crore (excluding ESOP costs) on revenues of Rs 1,800 crore—a turnaround after several years of losses.
BharatPe last raised equity funding in August 2021, when it entered the unicorn club, and has since raised over $650 million in equity and debt from global investors including Tiger Global, Dragoneer Investment Group, Steadfast Capital, Coatue Management, and Ribbit Capital.
The new hires follow recent leadership moves, including the appointment of Siddhartha Jain as Chief Network Officer in June and Sandeep Singh as CEO of Trillionloans Fintech (TFPL), BharatPe’s NBFC arm, in April.
