Biome, a venture studio designed for experienced founders, has successfully completed the first close of its capital raise. The round brings together a curated group of backers, including notable entrepreneurs and strategic family offices.
The first close includes influential names such as BVR Mohan Reddy, Prasad Yerneni, and Abhinav Reddy, as well as the family offices of Raj Phani (Zaggle), Aditya Vuchi, and the Phoenix Group. These investors offer not just capital, but also deep strategic networks across enterprise, infrastructure, and innovation.
Biome’s unique model focuses on co-creating a limited number of high-conviction startups annually. It provides integrated support across strategy, talent, and capital, embedding its experienced team into each startup from day one to accelerate validation, growth, and scalability.
Led by Srinivas Kollipara, Madhu Poomalil, Kaustubh Patekar, and Zaran Bhagwagar, the studio has announced a commitment of ₹100 crore over the next three years to co-found and scale impactful ventures.
Among its early bets are:
-
A stealth-mode frontier AI venture headquartered in the US, led by one of the world’s top AI scientists
-
Zoop.Money, a startup aiming to reimagine home loan access
“We’ve built Biome to be the kind of early partner we believe early-stage companies truly need: deeply embedded, execution-led, and committed through every phase of growth,” said Srinivas Kollipara, Managing Partner at Biome.
