Harpreet Singh Rai Joins Loop as President, Healthcare to Help Reinvent Employee Wellness

In a move that reflects the rising convergence of technology, healthcare, and insurance in India, Mumbai-based healthtech startup Loop has onboarded Harpreet Singh Rai as its President, Healthcare.

For those in the wearable tech world, Harpreet needs no introduction. As the former CEO of Oura, the global wellness brand behind the Oura Ring, he led the company through rapid product development and global scale — selling over a million rings between 2018 and 2021. But beyond numbers, Harpreet is known for making health data personal, meaningful, and actionable — a philosophy that now finds a new home at Loop.

Interestingly, Harpreet isn’t just joining as an executive — he’s been a believer in Loop since the early days, having backed the startup as an early investor.

In his new role, he will be leading healthcare product development, working closely with Loop’s medical, engineering, and product teams. His focus? Making healthcare more intuitive, measurable, and tailored for working Indians — the very people Loop serves every day.

“Loop’s approach to accessible and measurable healthcare really stood out to me,” said Harpreet. “I’m excited to build solutions that truly improve people’s lives — especially working professionals who often overlook their health.”

With a career that began at Morgan Stanley, and later shaped by nearly a decade at Eminence Capital managing healthcare and tech portfolios, Harpreet brings a rare blend of financial acuity and health-tech vision.

Loop today serves over 850,000 employees across 1,200+ companies, integrating health insurance with a proactive primary care model. With Harpreet now at the helm of healthcare innovation, the startup seems poised to push the boundaries of how Indians engage with their well-being.
