Roomstory.ai Raises ₹3 Crore to Bring AI-Powered Interior Inspiration to Indian Homes

In a world where Pinterest boards fuel design dreams but rarely help you shop the look, a new Indian startup is stepping in to close that gap—and it just got a fresh infusion of capital to do so.

Roomstory.ai, an AI-powered interior discovery platform, has raised ₹3 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Rukam Sitara Fund, with participation from Bella Vita founder Aakash Anand and Wolfpack Labs.

The funding will power the next stage of the platform’s evolution—supercharging its AI capabilities, launching its website and mobile apps, and expanding its community of design lovers and digital shoppers.

Bridging the Gap Between Inspiration and Action

Co-founded by Ekatva Jain, Sahil Lunia, and Punit Jain, Roomstory.ai is reimagining how people explore and shop for interiors. At its core, it offers users a Pinterest-like visual experience—with a powerful twist. Each room featured on the platform is fully shoppable through direct retail links, empowering users to go from “I love this” to “I own this” in a few taps.

“Most platforms make you choose between being inspired and buying. We believe you shouldn’t have to,” says Ekatva Jain, Co-founder & CEO of Roomstory.ai. “We’re eliminating that divide—Roomstory lets you not only dream up your perfect space, but recreate it, down to the last cushion.”

A Decade of Design, Reimagined with Tech

While AI is the engine, real-world experience is the foundation. The Roomstory team brings over a decade of interior design expertise and more than 100 completed projects to the table. This blend of aesthetic insight and tech-first thinking sets them apart in a market that often forces users to choose between beautiful design and practical implementation.

A Market Ripe for Disruption

Globally, home and interior shopping is a $800 billion category. In India, the sector is expected to reach $38.2 billion by 2027, growing at a 30% CAGR. Roomstory’s approach to “inspiration-first commerce” positions it squarely at the intersection of this demand—where users are increasingly looking for personalized, intuitive ways to furnish their homes.

As digital-native Indians invest more in their living spaces—especially post-pandemic—platforms like Roomstory are well-poised to capitalize on the shift from offline browsing to tech-enabled, emotionally resonant discovery.
