Lifechart, a health-tech startup rooted in gut wellness, has raised $360,000 in an extended seed round for its brand Guttify. The fresh funding was led by Prajay Advisors, the family office of Unichem Labs founders Prakash Mody and Jayendra Shah. This round follows a $500,000 seed round raised in October 2024, bringing Lifechart’s total funding to over $1 million.
Backers from the previous round include Expert Dojo, Agility Ventures, Sunn91 Ventures, several government seed programs, and angels like Nitish Mittersain (Nazara Technologies) and Ahana Gautam (Open Secret).
Founded in 2022 by Mukul Shah and Mansi Sharma, Guttify is building a science-backed, Ayurveda-inspired gut wellness ecosystem, with a focus on India’s urban populations across Tier I and Tier III cities. At its core is a diagnosis-first approach, offering DIY at-home gut testing kits paired with clinically validated treatment options that blend modern science and traditional herbal wisdom.
Guttify’s first product—a pH saliva testing kit for acidity—is already live. The startup is preparing to launch more low-cost gut health kits, with prices starting at just Rs 99, making early diagnosis and care more accessible to the masses.
“India is facing a silent gut health epidemic. More than 60% of the population suffers from digestive issues, yet solutions remain scattered, expensive, and reactive,” says co-founder Mukul Shah. “With Guttify, we aim to put proactive, personalized gut care in the hands of every Indian.”
The market opportunity is significant: the Indian gut wellness market is projected to reach $18 billion, driven by rising urban health awareness and the shift toward preventive care.
Lifechart envisions Guttify not just as a product line, but as a full-stack gut health platform—from at-home diagnostics and personalized regimens to tech-driven insights and telehealth support.
By merging Ayurveda’s timeless principles with modern diagnostics and AI-driven personalization, Guttify hopes to transform how Indians manage and improve their gut health—starting with understanding it.
